Apple have today taken the wraps off a new faster version of its iPhone that is able to shoot video at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Franscisco.iPhone 3GS has a new voice control system, a built-in compass, with a premium version having a larger 32GB storage capacity.  iPhone 3G S will be available in the US on June 19 for a suggested retail price of $199 (16GB) $299 (32GB) at Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart and exclusive to O2 in the UK and 16GB version will cost up to £185 depending on tariff, while the 32GB version will be priced at up to £275.

Some features of new 3GS

• It’s supposedly up to twice as fast as the iPhone 3G, with longer battery life.
• 3 MP autofocus camera with video recording
• Hands-free voice control for dialing, working the iPod, and just about anything built into the system
• iPhone OS 3.0 with Cut/Copy/Paste, MMS (end of summer availability), Spotlight Search, landscape keyboard options
• Digital compass
• Remote wipe if you lose the phone
