James Cameron, Avatar Director was interviewed by USA Today about this new age of film making. Director exposed his future strategies to carry out certain unsinkable strike back to theaters in 2012; this time in the form of 3D Titanic. So it can be taking into account as Jeffrey Katzenberg was rightly saying: 3D is the future of movies.
Movie production studios are quickly moving towards 3D Animation technology by virtue of the success of Avatar and now Alice in Wonderland. Credits mainly goes to computer technology by which 3D effects can easily be supplemented for films shot process; unlike using 3D-specific cameras similar to Cameron for Avatar. Warner Bros’s upcoming film is considering as a spar of the Titans also among them. Although it was not being shot in 3D but to attain more attention at the box office, it has been converted to 3D Movie after an eight weeks technical work.
“They’re converting Clash of the Titans in just 8 weeks period. But I’m estimating six months to a year to make it perfectly. We’re actually looking towards spring of 2012 to present 3D version of Titanic among public which would be the 100 year anniversary of the sailing of the ship.”
In fact Titanic was relatively much technically advanced film, as most of the exterior and interior shots were absolutely computer-generated. While re-processing Titanic film for 3D, it put forwards several better alternatives because artists perform on digital imagery, rather than pointing out improvements through visual effects and CGI that have appeared in the consequent 13 years.
James Cameron also conferred about new 3D television sets and his plans for debuting Avatar in Blu-ray and in 3D. What do you think about the future of technical retrofitting classic films into 3D as Cameron calls it?![]()
